FACT - MORRISSEY HAS ONLY ACCEPTED 2 FLOWERS ON STAGE IN THE PAST YEAR - BOTH ROSES - A RED ROSE IN POMONA ON NOVEMBER 28th 2011 & A WHITE ROSE IN BOGOTA ON MARCH 17th 2012.

MORRISSEY WANTS TO BE GIVEN ROSES.

This morning I have spent 45 minutes hanging on the phone, trying to buy a ticket for Morrissey's concert in Manchester on July 28th. Eventually I got one, well two actually as 'Big Mick' is coming with me, but unfortunately, I couldn't get standing tickets, which is VERY disappointing. At least I'll be there for the concert, which, according to www.MorrisseysWorld.blogspot.com, "Will be a great day in this blog's history." Also, according to MorrisseysWorld, the Manchester concert will see, "Morrissey do something remarkable."

Due to the furore surrounding ticket sales, Morrissey has been 'trending' on twitter, and as the excitement grows, I expect people will start to look around the internet for Morrissey news. There is a VERY strong chance that more people will find MorrisseysWorld, which this morning, has a total 'hit count' of 249,690. It is INCREDIBLE that there have been a quarter of a million hits on MorrissysWorld, and yet STILL, neither the media, nor Morrissey's own fans, have realised that it is MORRISSEY behind the website. To anybody who may be reading my blog for the first time, have NO doubt that it IS Morrissey who writes the articles on MorrisseysWorld, and all the evidence can be found here: www.MorrisseysWorld.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/morrisseysworld-prophecy-page-and-new.html . Morrissey also has a twitter site, '@MorrisseysWorld', and YES, IT REALLY IS MORRISSEY, but don't ask him to admit it, he will deny, deny, deny! The twitter account currently has just 7,067 followers, and back in September, when I stumbled upon it, there were just 300 odd. If you're interested enough, you can read my whole story of how I found MorrisseysWorld and how I realised it was Morrissey, by starting at Day 13 of 'Following the Mozziah' (it's self explanatory as to why it starts at day 13).

Two days ago, Morrissey explained to me in the MorrisseysWorld chatroom (see my blog entry for yesterday), that the point of MorrisseysWorld was to prove that it is "only what the press do or do not say that counts." He explained that "if the press announced 'it's Morrissey', you would see 50 000 followers overnight, even though the evidence hasn't changed." The other point to MorrisseysWorld is to convey the message that Morrissey wants to be given ROSES at his concerts - please see below - THE HISTORY OF BLUE ROSE.

I have now decided to take a break from writing this blog, for no other reason than that I have started repeating myself, and I also believe people are getting fed up of me (I know how they feel). I never intended to take centre stage among the 'believers' of MorrisseysWorld, it 'just happened'! MorrisseysWorld has gone quiet, while Morrissey tours Japan, and as there is very little Youtube footage being posted, and as it is HIGHLY unlikely that Morrissey will accept a BLUE ROSE until Manchester, there is nothing else at present, for me to say.

I desperately hope that Morrissey's fans will take roses to all his concerts in Asia, America and Europe, and THROW THEM TO THE STAGE. It would be nice to think that by the time Morrissey reaches Manchester, the MEN will be awash with roses, but it will only happen if his fans make it happen. I believe that Morrissey WILL wear a BLUE ROSE in Manchester on July 28th, and maybe, just maybe, he will sing 'Trouble Loves Me'.

THE HISTORY OF 'BLUE ROSE'

On August 22nd 2011, Morrissey, via the website MorrisseysWorld.blogspot.com, asked for fans attending his concerts on the USA tour, to wear either a single red rose or a single white rose.

On September 1st 2011, this request was re-iterated and it was stated that it was in honour of Oscar Wilde, because of the roses being a recurring motif in his work. It was also stated that Wilde lives on today in the artiste Morrissey. 

On October 16th 2011, MorrisseysWorld gave instructions that, "When Morrissey leaves the stage after the end of the set, he will pause prior to coming out for the encore. During this period, you should throw your rose on to the stage."

On November 4th 2011 on MorrisseysWorld, it was explained that the 'Secret Rose Society' was to mirror Oscar Wilde's 'Green Carnation', a secret society formed by Oscar Wilde for his followers, who would all wear green carnations to his performances without anybody knowing why. 

On November 14th 2011, Morrissey's tour of the USA and Mexico got underway, with a concert in San Antonio, Texas, and a small number of the audience were reported to have worn roses, but none were thrown to the stage.

On November 28th 2011, during the song 'Everyday is Like Sunday', at the concert in Pomona, Morrissey took a red rose from a member of the audience and sniffed it. There is Youtube footage showing this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAAWht5sVL0 .

There were a number of other concerts played on the USA and Mexican tour and at various concerts, some members of the audience wore white or red roses, but NONE were actually handed to Morrissey.

On February 24th 2012, Morrissey started his tour of South America and again, MorrisseysWorld gave instruction to wear a red rose or a white rose and to throw it to the stage. Two concerts were played in Chile and although it is rumoured that roses were worn, none of them made the stage. Four concerts were then played in Argentina and once more, it is said that some of the audience wore roses, but NONE were handed to Morrissey. Four more concerts followed in Brazil (3) and Peru (1), but again, NO roses were handed to Morrissey.

On March 17th 2012, on the very last day of Morrissey's South American tour, in Bogota, Columbia, Morrissey plucked a white rose from the audience during the song 'You Have Killed Me' (Video footage here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVaezmLcyi4 ). Under the red lighting, the rose looked red, thus confirming a prophecy on MorrisseysWorld, which said the white rose would turn red when the blood runs (the 'blood runs' being the song 'You Have Killed Me'). This act signalled the start of a phenomenon that Morrissey has labelled 'BLUE ROSE SOCIETY'.

On April 19th 2012, Morrissey embarked on the Asian leg of his World tour. Many flowers were brought to the concerts (evidence here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzuUW4QpSO8 ) but NONE were roses (mainly gladioli) and so NONE were taken by Morrissey - he JUST wants roses, as homage to Oscar Wilde.

The reason that the phenomenon has been labelled 'BLUE ROSE', is because blue roses, just like green carnations, are not natural flowers. Wilde's followers were known as 'Green Carnation', Morrissey's followers are 'BLUE ROSE'.

Blue roses have come to symbolise mystery and longing to obtain the impossible. Blue roses also represent unrequited love. MORRISSEY IS BLUE ROSE.

Followers of Morrissey should wear either a red, white, or blue rose to his concerts, and throw them to the stage. It has also been said, that the song 'TROUBLE LOVES ME' is the song of the BLUE ROSE SOCIETY, as it is an anagram 'LOVE MT BLUE ROSE'. 'Trouble Loves Me' has not been performed by Morrissey since 2006, so if it IS played, it would be extra special.

Following the Mozziah Day 225 Thursday 26th April 2012

I am writing today's blog before the concert takes place in Fukuoka, so there is no set list or review, although why I have started writing reviews/observations of concerts on the other side of the world, I cannot explain! This blog started as a way of expressing my excitement about finding MorrisseysWorld.blogspot.com, and yet it has morphed into all sorts of other things. The ONLY reason I am continuing to write my blog is because I want to try and help Morrissey achieve his aim of having his audience wear roses to his concerts, but so far, it isn't proving easy!

Yesterday, I popped into the Twitterdilly Arms, and noticed that '@MorrisseysWorld' had just retweeted somebody. Realising he was on line, I logged into the MW chatroom and typed, "Anybody home?" A reply came back from Morrissey1959, and I took note of our conversation. Here it is:

TRB: Anybody home?

M1959: A rare visit

TRB: Rare indeed, how goes it? (Editor's note: Yes, I know it's a lame line, but WHAT else is there to say to Morrissey? Despite the familiarity that has grown over the months, he IS still God!)

M1959: Being published in every town and city in England has brought me fifty followers (Ed's note: this  is reference to the Metro newspaper running a feature on the tweeter @MorrisseysWorld) and censorship from so-low. Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.

TRB: I think they MUST know by now. Solow I mean.

M1959: They don't know anything, none of us know. Only the true artiste and I know. And even we're growing confused. I am going to close this site down and twitter.

TRB: Really?

M1959: If any of the followers care, they will make BLUE ROSE happen. The truth is, apart from rats, heather, ears and a small number of others, most of the original followers have gone now. Each time the true artiste does something from the blog, followers become disillusioned. What does this tell us? It tells us that the evidence doesn't count - only what the press do or do not say counts. If the press announced 'it's Morrissey', you would see 50 000 followers overnight, even though the evidence hasn't changed. This is the lesson of MorrisseysWorld - "see with your eyes".

TRB: Very true, but if you close, it WON'T happen.

M1959: I no longer care. History will decide. I expected us to go global by Christmas 2011. I'm thankful it didn't happen; the intimacy has been wonderfully oblique, but the truth is, people don't like the blog, that is why they don't want to believe. It's too challenging that I am able to write in Wildean fashion but choose not to do so. They scratch their heads and wish I would churn out touching essays.

TRB: I care, but Meatheads won't bring roses. (Ed's note: 'Meatheads' is the term given to the 'rough and tough' Morrissey fans, by the G*ardian newspaper's deputy editor, Kath Viner). They don't like the things about NWO (Ed's note: articles about New World Order on MorrisseysWorld).

M1959: The New World Order will soon be a reality for all. They are telling you, not me. Listen to the speeches. Are they all delusional? (Ed's note: this is a reference to the Youtube footage posted on MorrisseysWorld.blogspot.com of; Clinton, Blair, Bush, Sarkozy, Pope John Paul II, Gorbachev and Kissinger, who ALL talk about a New World Order coming, and YES, I've watched them all, and YES, they really DO all speak of a New World Order!).

TRB: But your AVERAGE fan DOESN'T want to hear it, they just want Moz.

M1959: Rats, I shall continue to monitor your blog for as long as you write it and may leave occasional comments.

TRB: I won't write if there is no MW, I can't fulfill BLUE ROSE without YOUR help. Your meathead fans won't ever bring roses!

M1959: Then blue rose will never happen. I am not a whore. I hoped others would make it happen. If they don't, then I have already wasted too long. I shall set several conditions for reopening my blog and if the true artiste fulfills them yet again I suppose we will reopen. I honestly believe it's reached the point that if Boz Boorer came out in red glasses with a log and brown cardigan, the so-lowers still wouldn't accept Morrissey is at least a fan of the blog/twitter phenomenon. Time is more precious than gold. There will be another few articles before we close.

And just like that, he disappeared!

It doesn't take a genius to work out that 'Our Mozzer' is a little fed up with his blog and the lack of belief from his fans. I guess initially, he thought that 'true' Morrissey fans would be able to 'see' it was him, but when they didn't, he made it more and more obvious, and yet, ironically, the more obvious it has become, the less people believe! I personally think Mozzer is right, if Boz Boorer came out dressed as 'Log Lady', STILL nobody would believe, it would be 'just another coincidence'. I have exchanged tweets with a number of Morrissey fans recently, who have all said, they will NEVER believe it is the 'real' Morrissey, unless he 'verifies' his twitter account. Morrissey 'verify'?!?! It would seem that 'Our Mozzer' has misread his followers!

I sense a new tack is needed. Regardless of whether the fans believe MorrisseysWorld to be Morrissey or not, is irrelevant, we just need to take roses for Morrissey ANYWAY, just because it's a great idea! People don't NEED to believe in MorrisseysWorld, they just need to believe in the true artiste Morrissey, and roses can act as a thank you. Morrissey has SHOWN that he would like to receive roses, because the ONLY TWO FLOWERS he has accepted on stage in the last, god knows how many years, have been ROSES, a red one in Pomona, and a white one in Bogota. We HAVE to give him roses.

Away from roses, yesterday I decided to download the 'Mael mix' of Suedehead, along with the live versions of 'We'll Let You Know' and 'Now My Heart is Full'. (I have so far not managed to get hold of the 10' picture disc, but there are loads on ebay, so I will get one.) I logged onto itunes, but there was no sign of 'Suedehead'! I then went to Amazon, where I found it, but unfortunately it is not available until April 29th (not April 23rd as stated on True To You). I will have to wait!


New Youtube footage has emerged from Japan of 'Ouija Board', 'Still Ill' and an audio of Morrissey's brilliant cover of 'To Give (Is My Reason To Live)', or as Jimmy Savile would have said, "To give, open brackets, is the reason I live, close brackets. Ladies and gentlemen, award yourself an extra point if you remembered the brackets." Why is it that little pieces of nostalgia like that make us feel so warm?

The Youtube video's also showed that Mozzer is now wearing TWO very large crosses around his neck, but he has some way to go to catch up with his old mate, Russell Brand, who whilst talking to the Parliamentary commission on drugs the other day, was sporting about twenty crosses around his neck! Is it a competition? And they're both atheists aren't they? Will Moz hit back with MORE crosses next time? It would be just another coincidence of course, but a good one! And speaking of Rustle, where IS he these days? He used to regularly visit us in Twitterdilly, but these days, he seems to have gone to ground. There has been no sign of '@bucktoothedboy', or @JodyRoad' for ages, has Rustle abandoned us completely, or is he just better disguised? The only tweeter who currently arouses my suspicions is '@Fancys123', but if Fancy IS Brand, he's acting well, but then I suppose, he would, wouldn't he!

As I sit here writing this blog each day, I do wonder when it will all end (the blog I mean, not life, I'm not so concerned about that!), and indeed, what will I do to fill my time when it does end? I have reached that stage in my life where I don't know what I want to do. I know I don't want to be part of the rat race (which is really quite odd, as I am a rat!), but I don't know if I can be bothered to dedicate myself to writing, which is what I intended to do. I feel that I should write a play or a tv sitcom, but until the MorrisseysWorld phenomenon comes to some sort of conclusion, I am struggling to see the light, and if we 'are' going to witness an economic or social meltdown, is it worth making plans? Probably not, so as my mother says, "let's just suck it and see." Which reminds me, I must get her back to work on the streets! *Shouts to mother* "Take your teeth out mum, there's work to do."

Following the Mozziah Day 224 Wednesday April 25th 2012

All is quiet in MorrisseysWorld, with no new postings, and in fact, hardly any comments left either. Has all the talk of 'New World Order' driven the fans away? Quite possibly, yes! There is also no concert today, and with no sign of ANY of Morrissey's pessoa's in my twitterdilly timeline, it means that I have no Mozziah to follow today.

It would appear that my wrong assumption of yesterday, that 'Blue Rose' would be fulfilled in Japan, was due to me forgetting who had written what, and where! It WASN'T MorrisseysWorld that had said 'Blue Rose' would be fulfilled in Japan, it was 'Mancladmozfan' on twitter, who said that he'd read a tweet from a Japanese fan promising to take a 'Blue Rose'. MancLad, of all people, should know by now that 'promises' of taking roses for Morrissey, does not equate to 'actually' handing over the said roses to him! We have read many times before, of promises from fans to give a rose, including twice from 'MancLad' himself, but EVERY single time, it hasn't happened.

It may of course not be the fault of the fans that roses haven't reached Morrissey. Over the months, since it was announced that Morrissey wanted roses, we have heard various stories from fans who have taken a rose to a concert, but have either, not had an opportunity to through them (too far from stage) or have thrown them, only for security to take them away before Morrissey returns for the encore. It also has to be said, that the ONLY TWO roses that Morrissey HAS received (the red rose in Pomona and the white rose in Bogota) weren't 'actually' given to him, HE decided to reach into the audience and TAKE them. It could therefore mean, that 'having the intention' of giving Morrissey a rose, isn't enough, and that Morrissey is doing EVERYTHING on HIS terms. If that is the case, then Morrissey will take a 'BLUE ROSE' only when he is ready, and not before. I'm pretty sure we can rule out Japan, as there isn't likely to be any video footage proving it happened, so WHEN?

The other question of course, is even if Morrissey ISN'T yet ready to take a 'Blue Rose', WILL he accept other (red and white) roses? In the poor light at concerts, (and what with Mozzer's poor eye sight) he may not run the risk of taking ANY roses, just incase he takes a 'Blue Rose' by mistake! So is it even worth fans taking roses if Morrissey isn't accepting them? We won't know the answer to that until somebody attempts to pass him one, but as there seems to be NO evidence that anybody in the front few rows at any of the concerts are even taking any roses (gladioli yes, roses, no!), we are left wondering. On May 8th, in Singapore, that loveable rogue (and ex judge) 'MancLadMozFan' has (yet again) 'PROMISED' to give Moz a rose. Time will tell if Morrissey accepts it, or if indeed MancLad attempts to fulfill his promise.

As reported by 'Morrissey' on this very blog yesterday, 'Blue Rose' will be fulfilled before the end of 2012, and with all the hints that Manchester will be special, it has to now be presumed that July 28th will be the day he finally accepts a 'Blue Rose'. I'd like to think that I will give him a 'Blue Rose' in Manchester, but the truth is, I have NO chance what so ever of getting past all those tough Mancunian meatheads to get to the front row, and what is more, HOW do you keep hold of a rose in the madness of the Mozpit? Has 'Our Mozzer' really thought this through? And WILL Manchester REALLY be awash with roses? Will 19,000 'up for it Mancs' stop off at InterFlora on the way to the MEN, or will they head for the pub instead? The ONLY chance of Manchester Arena being awash with roses, is if Mozzer's people are 'giving them away' before hand, and even then, we've got to hope the Mancunian Meatheads don't EAT them!

Away from MorrisseysWorld, it has today been announced that the UK is officially back in recession, which means I may have missed the boat to sell my house, but hopefully not. Mrs Whiskers (my wife) currently has the decorators in (and no, that's NOT a euphemism, the decorators really are in) and as soon as they're finished, the house goes up for sale. I am serious in my belief that Europe is heading for some sort of financial meltdown, although a comment left on my 'Monday blog' from my film director friend Marcus Markou, should put my mind at rest, he said, " Some short term pain but no need to panic. There is a bright future for planet earth and its pop music." Oh to have Marcus's optimism, but it should be noted, he is GREEK, so what the hell does HE know about economic stability? I think I'll stick to my intuition, but Marcus DOES know about Baklava, and a trailer for his brilliant new film 'Papadopoulos & Sons' is now available to view on Youtube.

Are MorrisseysWorld and the Twitterdilly Arms empty because of the recession? Is nowhere safe? (Your blog site and virtual pub are at risk if you do not keep up repayments on them.)

ENCORE: STILL ILL

Before today's concert started (which was approximately 11am UK time, 7pm Japanese time), I decided to follow a number of Japanese tweeters on twitter, who were at the concert, in the hope of 'watching'(?) the concert as it happened. I thought it might give me a similar experience to that of following a live football match on Ceefax, although admittedly, I hadn't done that for many years, and if memory serves me right, is wasn't particularly exciting! (NB You can't do it anymore, Ceefax has just been scrapped!)

No doubt, you are wondering what the experience was like? Well, if it was similar to watching football on Ceefax, Morrissey in Tokyo was a goalless draw! Not a peep from any of them, well not until afterwards at any rate. I can only presume that the Japanese are far too polite to tweet during a concert, and we already know that filming is an absolute no no!

The tweets came flooding thick and fast afterwards with '@yukariRamone' tweeting to tell me about the fate of her red rose. I asked her if she had thrown it and she replied, "Yes, of course I did but his staff did take away soon...tears...". So much for MorrisseysWorld's instructions to throw roses just before the encore, this happened to Heathercat and Stillicling in Chicago! Over efficient staff are stopping a phenomenon!

The setlist was posted by '@regret_jpn', and it showed a welcome return to the set for both 'Scandinavia' and 'I Know It's Over'. '@twyyttmo' tweeted me to say, "Hi. twas great, Ms voice falling over my head", while '@aocuro1908' tweeted a photo of a pale blue 'Angelo Galasso' shirt, which according to other photos, showed it was the final shirt of the night worn by Morrissey. It was also in one piece, so obviously there are no 'meathead scrums' in Japan then?

Another tweeted photo posted by '@tokyo_telephone', showed Morrissey holding up the Japanese flag, and it also showed Boz in his sparkly blue dress, that he first wore on the South American tour, whilst the band were in the red 'Assad is Shit' t-shirts, which were also worn on the SA tour (funds must be running out for new clothes!).

'@yukariRamone' sent a tweet to '@heathercat222' to inform her that Morrissey's shirts went from ; pink, to black, to sweet Purple, to sky blue.

Aside from Yukari's attempt to get a rose to Moz, I have seen no other tweets regarding roses, although once again there were a lot of other flowers on view, including gladioli. When will the audiences wake up to the fact that Morrissey ONLY wants roses? The only two flowers he has taken in the last, god knows how many years, are TWO roses, a red one in Pomona and a white one in Botoga. He now wants a BLUE ROSE.

Away from the concert, Russell Brand can be ruled out of being behind MorrisseysWorld, as he was in Parliament today at the same time as MorrisseysWorld was publishing a new article. Romina also ruled herself out of being Morrissey (as accused by me), when she tweeted all the way through yesterday's concert. So WHO is she? And WHO is the admin guy ('R') who posted the latest MorrisseysWorld article?

MorrisseysWorld promised that BLUE ROSE would DEFINITELY be fulfilled in Japan.....five concerts to go, let's just hope we don't all miss it!

Today is St George's day, but instead of celebrating all that is great about England, MorrisseysWorld has posted an article warning of the NEW WORLD ORDER. This article will no doubt send most readers away from the site and will once again have people labelling the author of MorrissysWorld a, "deluded and mentally unstable nutcase" (Uncle Skinny's actual words from Morrissey-Solo yesterday).

So if MW IS Morrissey, is he a 'deluded and mentally unstable nutcase', or are his warnings valid? Personally, I don't even want to think about the possibility of a New World Order, it is beyond the comprehension of my simple little meathead brain, but on a similar line, I am just about to attempt to sell my house, as I honestly believe that Europe is on the brink of collapse (the continent, not the long haired singers of 'Final Countdown' who I believe collapsed ages ago....hopefully!)

Five years ago we would never have believed that banks would go bust, but now, it is HIGHLY likely that COUNTRIES will go bust! Both Greece and Spain are struggling to repay their debts, and very soon they could go bust, with other country's to follow. The single Euro currency could very well collapse and the knock on effect to the UK will be immense. If this does happen, we could find ourselves in a depression to match the Great Depression of the 1930's. Crime levels will rise and there will be social breakdown. The up side will be that nobody will be interested in the overpaid Premiership footballers at EITHER of the capitalist Manchester clubs.

Of course, things like New World Order's and collapsing economies, have very little to do with liking the music of the former lead singer of eighties band The Smiths, which is why it is easier for most readers to dismiss MorrisseysWorld as the work of a 'deluded nutter', but if Morrissey DOES strongly believe that there is a new world order forming, he is not the sort of person to keep quiet about it, although having said that, if he comes out publicly and says it, he runs the risk of driving fans away, they just WON'T want to hear it. MorrisseysWorld therefore acts as a vehicle for Morrissey to air his 'real' views whilst hiding behind the mask of a parody website, thus not ruining his career. The downside is that he may lose his MorrisseysWorld followers, but as the number of actual believers is VERY small, he has little to lose.

I don't necassarily believe MorrisseysWorld is right about the New World Order, but there is certainly enough evidence to not rule it out. Ultimately, as I said previously, I don't really want to know, but an impending breakdown of the economy and society, does bother me, in fact, it's frightening.

Anyway, back to far more important things than New Order, Europe, or any other 80's bands, back to Morrissey, who earlier today performed in Tokyo. The set once again included 'To Give' and 'Last Night I Dreamt', and it was also great to see the return of 'Maladjusted'. I use the term 'see' very loosely because due to videoing restrictions in Japan, we may well not 'see' any Youtube footage, although an excellent video of 'How Soon Is Now' performed in Kawasaki has this morning turned up on Youtube, and it shows Moz in top form.

The first of two nights at the Zepp Tokyo saw Boz once again dressed as 'Gaynor Tension' (his drag name) in a fetching black dress and wig. The band were all (un)dressed in black speedos and according to a  tweet I read from '@junyamadera', Morrissey announced something along the lines of, "I don't know Manchester, I am from Nagoya."

  A not particularly clear photo shows that Morrissey finished the show dressed in a black t-shirt which said, 'JUST SAY NO TO ANIMAL TESTING' on it.

I have avoided tweeting today as I am fed up of all the abuse I am getting, just because I happen to believe that Morrissey is behind MorrisseysWorld. For now, I will just go about writing this blog, giving a reflection of my views, without allowing myself to get caught up arguing about MW. At the end of the day, everybody will make their own minds up, although after today's MW offering, the number of believers will probably half. One of those who DOES believe is of course Boy George, but there is no sign of the article he promised would be out today, in which he describes MW as his favourite tweeter, and what is more, poor old Boy George has this morning announced that he is leaving  twitter because of all the unsolicited spam he gets. No Happy St George's day for St Boy!

Yesterday saw the first proper gathering of the 'Blue Rose Society' at the Punch & Judy pub in Covent Garden. It was attended by; @loughtonlil, @cathyplus5, @GirlOnBike1102, @AIRRAID25, @mmedestaelghost and @RosyMires. None of them actually wore a 'Blue Rose' and half of them don't believe Morrissey is behind MorrisseysWorld, but hey, it's a start, and by Manchester, not only will they all believe, but they will ALL be wearing a rose, I'm sure of it!

And finally Esther, and finally Cyril, today is the 25th anniversary of The Smiths last performance together on a public stage, when they performed 'Sheila Take a Bow' on Top of the Pops. When The Smiths split, it felt like the end of the world, but the songs of Morrissey saved us. If I'm right about the economy falling apart, it may soon feel like the end of the world again, so who will we turn to this time to save us, the New World Order or MorrisseysWorld? I know who I'm gonna need on my side.

It was another early start for today's concert in Kawasaki (6pm in Japan - 10am in UK), which has meant I have been able to spend the last few hours on the internet trying to pick up bits and pieces, but it has to be said, without much success! I found a twitpic of the setlist (posted by @macky_macky_), which shows that a song called 'To Give' was performed. It was quickly pointed out on twitter that this is a Frankie Valli cover, although it may have been Shirley Bassey's powerful cover of it that influenced Morrissey. Either way, having watched a performance of both Valli and Bassey on Youtube, it is an obvious Morrissey choice, with it's almost autobiographical, Mozzean (I prefer Mozzean to Morrisseyeque, it's more like Wildean) lyrics:

To then finish with the encore 'One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell' tends to suggest that 'Our Mozzer' is in a reflective mood.

Very little other information has emerged yet from Kawasaki, although I did read a tweet from a Japanese fan which said that the band were wearing anti McDonalds red t-shirts. Once again, it is highly unlikely that any Youtube footage will emerge as filming is strictly prohibited. Nothing at all has appeared from the Sendai concert.

I half expected to see a song from the album 'Southpaw Grammar' appear on the setlist, after 'Our Mozzer' (@MorrisseysWorld) tweeted last night, "Would it be rude to play something from 'Southpaw Grammar?" Perhaps it was just a tease, or could it be that we'll see 'Dagenham Dave' or 'The Boy Racer' appear in Tokyo?

Talking of twitter, 'Our Mozzer' was on particularly good form last night (especially as it was approximately 2am in Japan when he was tweeting!), and he had a couple of amusing digs at the G*ardian journalist '@alexispetridis'. These digs prompted '@BoyGeorge' to join in, who obviously thinks very little of Petridis too. When the two 'former eighties idols' had finished with Petridis, Boy George tweeted 'Our Mozzer', saying, "@MorrisseysWorld I named you my top tweeter in an article to be published on monday! You love it you dirty cow! Ha!"

Could Boy George's interview be the thing to send the MorrisseysWorld phenomenon viral, or will the world once again miss it? I suppose it depends where the interview appears. It no longer even occurs to me to check google news each morning to see if MW has gone viral, I just presume it hasn't! In the early days, I checked every day to see if the story had been picked up by one of the national UK newspapers, but as the months have gone on, it has just seemed less and less likely, despite the evidence growing stronger. '@MorrisseysWorld' currently has just 6,937 followers, and although I have loved the fact that so few have found 'Our Mozzer' on twitter, he REALLY does deserve a bigger audience, as does his blog.

Yesterday saw the release of Boz Boorer's new single, 'Slippery Forces'. There is no vinyl release, so I purchased it on itunes. My favourite mix (of the four on the EP) is the Konsorten mix. I sent a tweet to Boz, to ask him if there was any particular reason why Sebadoh were playing on the radio at the end of the video. 'Official Boz' (@Boz_Boorer) replied, "@TheRatsBack Hi there, no special reason. Radio in the background. Cheers, M (admin)." Now WHY did Boz sign himself as 'Admin'? Is this a reference to 'admin' on MorrisseysWorld? Hmm.

Today is 'Record Store Day', which sees the release of 1,000 copies of The Sparks remix of 'Suedehead'. There are NO record shops anywhere near my home (the last one closed last year), so I phoned six different shops trying to buy Suedehead, but they had either sold out, or refused to sell me one over the phone. There are already loads on ebay, selling from anything between £25-£65. It just goes to show, vinyl isn't dead yet!

The website PassionsJustLikeMine has announced that it is to reopen soon, having received support from a number of volunteers to help run it. This is great news for all Morrissey fans.

Right, I have delayed publishing this blog, in the hope that more news would have emerged from Kawasaki, but it's now 3.30pm, and there is still nothing about what Moz said, or whether there were an roses given, and of course, there are no Youtube clips. I will never moan again about people videoing at concerts.......well, not until the next time anyway!

Following The Mozziah Day 219 Friday 20th April 2012

My blog entry of yesterday was kindly posted by somebody on the Number 1 Morrissey fansite, www.morrissey-solo.com, thus increasing my readership from a daily average of around 150, to 725. For those Solo readers who took the time to read my blog, thank you and welcome, let me explain why I write it.

As you can see, this is day 219 of Following the Mozziah. The blog started after I stumbled upon the website www.morrisseysworld.blogspot.com, which many of you may well have heard of, and most of you have dismissed as being some crazed fan. When I first found MorrisseysWorld, I read through a number of the articles and found it hilarious, I had a hunch that it was the work of Morrissey himself, but that notion just seemed too incredible to believe, but as I continued to read, something nagged at me that there just might be something in it. I read through every single article on MorrisseysWorld and started following @MorrisseysWorld on twitter.

As the months have gone past, the evidence has grown stronger and stronger that Morrissey is the author of MorrisseysWorld, but because most people initially dismissed it, or believed the word of others who had dismissed it, very few people have actually realised it is Morrissey. This whole phenomenon is SO unbelievable, and SO exciting, that I have given up my job to follow it more closely. That may seem extreme (it is!) but I genuinely believe this to be a significant piece of pop history, it's just incredible that a major artist such as Morrissey could secretly be doing something like this, but believe it or not, it's happening!

The most enlightening thing about this whole experience for me, has been discovering Morrissey's incredible sense of humour and self parody. Yes, as we all know, he can be a drama queen, but he can also laugh at himself. Anyway, enough of my waffle, go and find out for yourself, the best place to start is on an article on MorrisseysWorld dated Tuesday 10 April 2012 entitled, 'MorrisseysWorld Prophecy Page - and a new pledge', it has a silly picture of Russell Brand holding a log, but as you work your way through the site, you'll get to understand all the silly nonsense about Log Lady, Masonic signs etc. It may all seem a bit mad, but hey, it's Morrissey!

The main point of MorrisseysWorld seems to be to get us, Morrissey's fans, to take roses (either red, white or blue) to his concerts and throw them onto the stage. It is Morrissey's idea, and it is to reflect, and pay homage to Oscar Wilde, whose followers wore green carnations to his performances. Morrissey has labelled his followers 'Blue Rose'.

The running joke of MorrisseysWorld, is that it constantly denies it is Morrissey and Morrissey keeps denying he is MorrisseysWorld (three denials on True To You).

It would appear that 'Last Night I Dreamt' was added to the set list played earlier today in Japan. A beautiful song that hasn't been performed since, *goes to PassionsJustLikeMine to check, but it's gone- shit* well, since the last time it was performed, which isn't very recently (Earls Court?).

It's bizarre, because as I write this, it is 2pm UK time, and yet the concert in Sendai took place at 6pm Japanese time. A very early start, and according to a couple of Japanese fans who I have exchanged tweets with (@shooh1 and @igarimtrc0001 - fav song of the concert 'Fatty'), videoing is STRICTLY forbidden at concerts in Japan, so we probably won't get to see ANY Youtube footage all tour! Arggghhh! Perhaps Mozzer, if you're reading this, you could arrange for somebody to film and post on Youtube? We usually all moan about the hundreds who use their smart phones to film at concerts, but when nobody films, it's just as bad!

 I asked @igarimtrc0001 (real name Orz), if there were any roses given to Morrissey at the concert. The photos I have so far seen show the whole front row holding yellow flowers but I'm not sure what they are, they certainly aren't roses! Orz replied, "I don't think no one gave him a rose. My friend and I talked about getting one but we didn't have time." I have to smile,because Orz's comment about not having the time reminds me of the guy in Argentina (or was it Chile) who tweeted the same thing. It seems that people always have good intention.....but no actual rose....or time!


According to Romina (@caterita2008) (who tweeted STRAIGHT after the show), the new stage backdrop, is of French actress Dominique Sanda. Now HOW could Romina POSSIBLY know that? Sanda, according to Wiki, is a French actress who starred in films such as the 1970 film The Conformist (Il Conformista). Sanda had a son with the late actor/director Christian Marquand, who's first film role was in Jean Cocteau's 'La Belle et la Bete in 1946.

Questions started to fly among members of 'Blue Rose' on twitter, as to just HOW Romina knows as much as she does about so many things, particularly Moz related things. As I write this, Romina has returned to twitter to say, "Domenique Sanda is one of my favourite actress, watched II Giardino dei Finzi Contini so many times." I do SO love Romina's pigeon and broken English on twitter, and yet earlier today, when I asked her about Chelsea Cromwell, Romina quickly corrected me to tell me it was Crowell, not Cromwell. I have blogged about Chelsea Crowell before, she is a singer, and last time I blogged about her, somebody (I can't remember who, I'd have to look back) left a comment saying that apparently, Chelsea Crowell is going out with one of Morrissey's nephews. I believe, that the reason I'd blogged about Chelsea before was because ROMINA had tweeted about her. Romina, always Romina! Romina, the fan of brand new, and unheard of Irish band, Raglans! Romina, the fan of the little known Chelsea Crowell! Romina, the fan of Dominique Sanda etc etc, and yet how DOES Romina find time to watch films and discover new musical talent, when she spends so much time (according to her on twitter); cleaning, studying, cooking for her husband, going to the dentist, taking her daughter to ballet, preparing the swimming pool etc? As I've said before, I love Romina, my favourite 'Pessoa'.

Back to Sendai. Boz was dressed in drag, with a fetching new black dress may I add, (I wonder if he has a favourite designer? Evans?) and a new black wig, in a 'bob' style that simply took years off him! According to the tweeter '@minar_azar', Morrissey announced that Boz was, "A beautiful Geisya". Now correct me if I'm wrong, but when  suggested on twitter the other day by @JJazmineMoz that MW should dress Boz as a geisha, MW tweeted, "Boz as a Geisha? You're giving me ideas now." A COINCIDENCE of course.
    The band were stripped to the waste in Sendai, and each of them had  男    written on their chest, which I am told by @igarimtrc0001 means 'male' or 'man'. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't MW tweet yesterday, "Japan is going to be mesmerising, we have a few tricks up our sleeves. Well I do. The lads may not have any sleeves. Who knows?" NO SLEEVES! Yes, I know, just another COINCIDENCE.

The only frustrating thing for me is that only; myself, @loughtonlil, @heathercat222, @girlwithout and @caterita2008 (not sure if she counts) were there to share the whole after-show excitement on twitter. Where once we would have had; @stillicling, @RosyMires, @GirlOnBike1102, @Lizzycat4 etc, we now just have 4/5 of us enjoying the whole experience. It's incredible, it's exciting and yet it's such a shame that so FEW people are sharing this whole phenomenon, but in the case of the ones I've just mentioned, it's their own fault, they've had plenty of clues. Shame is the Name and it's a shame, it's a shame that people are the same everywhere.

The members of the 'Blue Rose Society' have spent much of today kicking their heels in 'The Twitterdilly Arms' as they wait for the first concert of the Asian leg of Morrissey's World Tour tomorrow. The following 'Blue Rose' members (some subscription fees are still outstanding by the way, please pay the landlord of the Twit Arms) have been exchanging tweets in the Twit Arms: @heathercat222, @loughtonlil, @theratsback, @i2177, @Its_Only_Me_K, @awillo9658, @AIRRAID25, @JJazmineMoz, @cathyplus5, @Fancys123, @leonardnaf, @EcubyanPoet @girlwithout and @PapaSonsFilm .

Also exchanging tweets have been the following 'not yet 100% committed' members: @mancladmozfan, @southkirk, @RosyMires, @Sberrells, @stillicling @GirlOnBike1102. They can't walk away, just in case, just in case, just in case. I'm sure Mancladmozfan believes, after all, he has promised to take a rose to Singapore, but he DAREN'T make that final commitment, the ridicule would be too much to bear.

Also sat in the Twit Arms was the wearer of a red rose, but 'non believer', @caterita2008. I don't understand why Romina continues to wear the rose when she doesn't believe, but each to their own. It is a bit like @MorrisseysWorld saying he is a Morrissey parody and then tweeting as if he were the real Morrissey. That's a good point actually, there are a number of people who continue to follow MW, accepting it as a parody, but they do not question the fact that MW doesn't tweet as a parody, he tweets as though he were the REAL Morrissey, in fact, he EVEN calls himself Morrissey, but the non believers don't question that either. They also don't question as to why the REAL Morrissey plays along with MorrisseysWorld despite calling it 'dangerous' in an interview. The non believers have also been unable to come up with an alternative to it being Morrissey being behind the blog. You couldn't make this whole thing up, it's INCREDIBLE that the game has lasted this long, just incredible. Morrissey must be wondering just how obvious he can make it. He has already promised a blue rose in Japan, but will we get 'Trouble' and will we get a Bieber t-shirt?.....there would still be plenty of reasons why it isn't him of course, with the main argument being that he's just playing along with the blog.

'Our Mozzer'/Parody Morrissey/MW also put in an appearance at the Twit Arms today, and among the 'parody' tweets was, "Japan is going to be mesmerising. We have a few tricks up our sleeves. Well, I do. The lads may not have any sleeves. Who knows?"

'Real Boz' also showed up in the Twit Arms, tweeting, "2 days of great positive rehearsal, traveling out to Sendai for the first Morrissey show tomorrow. Looking forward! BB" So NOW we know why The Mozziah hasn't been on twitter for a few days.....although that's probably just another coincidence.

Moments after Boz's tweet, @MorrisseysMum tweeted, "Return to Sendai." Suddenly they were all descending on the Twitterdilly Arms.

And talking of the Twitterdilly Arms, three of the Blue Rose gang; loughtonlil, Cathy and AIR, are meeting up this Sunday in a London pub. They are to be joined by non believers; Rosy Mires and GOB, which should prove to be interesting. Will the 'Blue Rose Three' be able to persuade the 'Non Blue Two', that IT REALLY IS MORRISSEY, or will the 'Non Blue Two' be able to come up with an alternative name behind the blog and prove to the 'Blue Rose Three' that they have made fools of themselves? Could it REALLY be a 'fan' behind the website and the real Morrissey is just carrying out all the predictions? Hmm. Tomorrow Sendai.....Everyday is like Sendai.

The Mozziah has returned (waves palm leaves and sings Hosanna in the highest),  Bieber has failed to go straight in at Number 1 on the UK singles chart (outsold 2:1 by Carly Rae Jepsen, whoever she might be), more followers have pledged that they 100% believe that Morrissey is behind MorrisseysWorld, GOB has stopped following me on twitter, and I'm going to go to the Manchester concert in July. The world is good.

The Mozziah strolled into the Twitterdilly Arms yesterday and tweeted a welcome to a Japanese tweeter called '@yukariRamone'. 'Our Mozzer' then tweeted me, to let me know that he'd left a comment on my blog, here is his comment:

The mystery does indeed continue. I have said many times I am not Morrissey; Morrissey has said he is not me on four occasions; but his tendency to do precisely what the blog says he will do, or implies he will do, has amused us all.

The only thing the true artiste can do is prove how much he loves the Blue Rose Society - and, of course, he will.

I couldn't help but get involved so I tweeted to GOB, "GOB, what have his statements EVER had to do with the truth? Use your own mind, don't be told. It's a no then!" GOB replied, "Rat, just f*** off back up your own arse!" She then stopped following me.

Comments were left on my blog yesterday from the following; Rutger (@EcubyanPoet), Marcus (@PapaSonsFilm), Aboyinthebush (@Aboyinthebush22) and Moz_Addict (@??? no twitter account, surely EVERYBODY in the world is on twitter?), all offering a pledge of 100% belief that Morrissey is behind MorrisseysWorld, so the number of believers now stands at 10, BLUE ROSE is growing again. By Manchester it will be huge, and I have decided to make the trip to Manchester, I just sense that something special is going to happen. The fact that I HAVE to be in Devon the morning after the concert at 10am, is just a minor inconvenience, I can't write a daily blog about The Mozziah and not attend his only UK concert of 2012, the only hurdle to overcome now is the battle of Ticketmaster in 10 days time. Perhaps 'Official Boz' or 'Kristeen' could tweet a pre-sale code to the BLUE ROSE gang? It would be too much to ask 'Our Mozzer', after all, he ISN'T Morrissey, and NEVER will be!

THE HISTORY OF 'BLUE ROSE'

On August 22nd 2011, Morrissey, via the website MorrisseysWorld.blogspot.com, asked for fans attending his concerts on the USA tour, to wear either a single red rose or a single white rose.

On September 1st 2011, this request was re-iterated and it was stated that it was in honour of Oscar Wilde, because of the roses being a recurring motif in his work. It was also stated that Wilde lives on today in the artiste Morrissey. 

On October 16th 2011, MorrisseysWorld gave instructions that, "When Morrissey leaves the stage after the end of the set, he will pause prior to coming out for the encore. During this period, you should throw your rose on to the stage."

On November 4th 2011 on MorrisseysWorld, it was explained that the 'Secret Rose Society' was to mirror Oscar Wilde's 'Green Carnation', a secret society formed by Oscar Wilde for his followers, who would all wear green carnations to his performances without anybody knowing why. 

On November 14th 2011, Morrissey's tour of the USA and Mexico got underway, with a concert in San Antonio, Texas, and a small number of the audience were reported to have worn roses, but none were thrown to the stage.

On November 28th 2011, during the song 'Everyday is Like Sunday', at the concert in Pomona, Morrissey took a red rose from a member of the audience and sniffed it. There is Youtube footage showing this.

There were a number of other concerts played on the USA and Mexican tour and at various concerts, some members of the audience wore white or red roses, but very few were thrown to the stage.

On February 24th 2012, Morrissey started his tour of South America and again, MorrisseysWorld gave instruction to wear a red rose or a white rose and to throw it to the stage. Two concerts were played in Chile and although it is rumoured that roses were worn, none of them made the stage. Four concerts were then played in Argentina and once more, it is said that some of the audience wore roses, but only one white rose was rumoured to have been thrown on stage and no Youtube footage exists to confirm this. Four more concerts were then played in Brazil (3) and Peru (1), but NO roses were handed to Morrissey.

On March 17th 2012, on the very last day of Morrissey's South American tour, in Bogota, Columbia, Morrissey plucked a white rose from the audience during the song 'You Have Killed Me.' Under the red lighting, the rose looked red, thus confirming a prophecy on MorrisseysWorld, which said the white rose would turn red when the blood runs (the 'blood runs' being the song 'You Have Killed Me'). This act signalled the start of a phenomenon that Morrissey has labelled 'BLUE ROSE SOCIETY'.

The reason that the phenomenon has been labelled 'BLUE ROSE', is because blue roses, just like green carnations, are not natural flowers. Wilde's followers were known as 'Green Carnation', Morrissey's are 'BLUE ROSE'.

Blue roses have come to symbolise mystery and longing to obtain the impossible. Blue roses also represent unrequited love. MORRISSEY IS BLUE ROSE.

Followers of Morrissey should wear either a red, white, or blue rose to his concerts, and throw them to the stage. It has also been said, that the song 'TROUBLE LOVES ME' is the song of the BLUE ROSE SOCIETY, as it is an anagram 'LOVE MT BLUE ROSE'. 'Trouble Loves Me' has not been performed by Morrissey since 2006, so if it IS played, it would be extra special.

WEAR A ROSE WITH PRIDE AND THROW IT TO THE STAGE - IT IS WHAT MORRISSEY WANTS.

Following The Mozziah Day 215 Monday 16th April 2012

There is still no sign of The Mozziah, he has gone to ground! Perhaps he has lost interest in this 'virtul' world and is enjoying the 'real' cultural world of Japan. A google search has revealed no mention of Morrissey in Japan, so, until the concerts' start in three days time, there may be nothing for me to write about.

I will take this quiet period to reflect on the MorrisseysWorld phenomenon. It is now seven months since I discovered the MorrissysWorld blog, and so much has happened, that I have forgotten most of it. I have been re-reading through some of my early blog entries, and there are a number of things that have struck me; 1) Just how few people have actually found MW 2) Just how few believe MW to be Morrissey, 3) Just how few of the original 'Twitterdilly Arms Gang' still believe MW to be Morrissey, despite all that has happened, 4) There is NO 4!

Rather than each 'sign' and 'prediction' acting as further confirmation that Morrissey is behind MW, it seems to have the reverse effect. I wrote yesterday about the mention of MW in Morrissey's wikipedia entry, and how it says; "a small number of Morrissey fans have come to believe it is written by Morrissey himself", well that 'small number' would seem to be decreasing on a daily basis! As 'Drag Boz' recently tweeted, "Moz, your fans leave every time you wear a rose or do something from the blog! This is an upside down world Moz, madness."

On Day 48 of FollowingtheMozziah (November 1st 2011), I reported that there were twelve 'regular' members of the MW community (which at that stage was not referred to as either the 'Twitterdilly Arms' or 'Blue Rose'), who would come together every single day on twitter to discuss the MW phenomenon. The excitement was incredible as we all tried to come to terms with the fact that Morrissey was amongst us. On November 1st, ALL of those original 'Twitter Twelve' believed it WAS Morrissey. Here is a reminder of the twelve, and their current standing:

1) @TheRatsBack.........this is me, a particularly handsome, cricket loving male in his mid forties, who has remained a devout believer in MW being Morrissey from day 1. I wear a red rose in my twit profile.

2) @Mancladmozfan.....believed to be a male Mancunian, in his 50's, who is a Manchester City season ticket holder. His belief that Morrissey is behind MW seems to change on a daily basis, and currently he is not 'wearing' a rose in his twitter profile pic but deep down I do think he believes. He took roses to a couple of Morrissey concerts in the US but failed to deliver them. He has vowed to hand Morrissey a 'Blue Rose' at the concert in Singapore on May 8th.

3) @stillicling.....believed to be an American businesswoman in her thirties, who originally was the main pillar of the MW twit community, and at times seemed to be on twitter 24 hours a day. Stillicling attended the Morrissey concert in Chicago with @Heathercat222, and allegedly took a rose and threw it onto the stage just before the encore, only to see it removed by security before Morrissey saw it. Stillicling lost the faith in Morrissey being behind MW around the time of 'Houstongate' and now no longer believes in MW at all, but continues to enjoy the music of Morrissey and now exchange tweets with the wider 'Moz Army' on twitter, especially the Solow administrator @UncleSkinny. Stillicling doesn't 'wear' a rose in her twit profile.

4) @EcubyanPoet (formerly EcubyanSoapbox).....believed to be a young, male, American student, who is interested in politics and poetry. Waivers from believing MW is Morrissey to not, but seems to enjoy the blog regardless. Ecubyan doesn't currently 'wear' the rose of the MW community in his twitter profile.

5) @mmedestaelghost......believed to be a female from Sweden, but she hasn't tweeted for nearly a month, having distanced herself when the verbal fighting broke out on twitter. No longer 'wears' a MW community rose in her twit profile.

6) @heathercat222.....believed to be a female Moz fan from the USA, and could well be called 'Heather'! Age unknown, although probably not unknown by her! Heather attended the Chicago Morrissey concert in December with stillicling and also allegedly threw a rose onto the stage, only to have it removed before Morrissey saw it. Heather never seems to have wavered in her belief, and still 'wears' a red rose in her twit profile.

7) @girlwithout.......gender unknown, although I presume a female. 'Girlwithout' has remained one of the most mysterious of the original twelve, and could have connections to 'Camp Moz' for all I know. Back on November 1st, I referred to 'Girlwithout' as the 'group organizer', although recently, she has been around a lot less. She really pushed the red and white roses before the USA tour, and fiercely fought against my 'Blue Rose' idea, until MorrisseysWorld accepted it. Never seems to have doubted that Morrissey is behind MorrisseysWorld, although the rose in her twitter profile has now gone, replaced by an orange ball, stuck up a tree!

8) @AIRRAID25......believed to be female, believed to be a Bristol Rovers fan, and back in November, according to her twitter profile, claimed to be in a mid life crisis. Airrad has remained a 'believer' pretty much all the way through, and this has probably been enhanced by her having a number of conversations with Morrissey1959 in the MW chatroom, which have helped confirm that Morrissey is behind MW. Airraid dons a red rose as her twit profile picture.

9) @RosyMires.....believed to be a female, in her forties, originally from Manchester, and now living in Brighton (where all the Man City fans live), with it's rubbishy beaches. Back in November, a staunch believer in the MorrisseysWorld phenomenon, and wore a rose in her twit profile with pride. Changed her mind about Morrissey being behind the MW blog around the time of 'Houstongate', and has even made her own blog/website thingy to 'prove' it isn't Morrissey, although she, nor anybody else for that matter, has EVER offered up a believable alternative author for the MW blog! Mires (pronounced Mirez) does however, continue to contribute to the MorrisseysWorld blog and still tweets the believers. No longer 'wears' the rose.

10) @GirlOnBike1102......believed to be a female, and said to be German by birth, but now having the misfortune to live just outside Coventry! GirlOnBike, or GOB, as she is suitably nicknamed, argues about anything and everything and is particularly hostile towards both me and @MorisseysWorld. The 'not knowing' seems to really frustrate GOB, although now I've written that, she will no doubt post a comment saying, "No it doesn't." (I am now loling to myself, or at least smiling!) Doesn't currently have a rose as her twit profile pic, and has said she is currently sitting on the fence, and no doubt giving it a hard time!

11) @Lizzycat4......believed to be a female living in the UK. Has left many comments on the MW blog saying, "This is definitely Morrissey", but according to GOB, Lizzy has become so confused by it all, that she has now deleted her twitter account.

12) @loughtonlil.....believed to be a male in his fifties, who apparently 'missed' The Smiths, and back in November was on the fringes of the '12'. Now one of the main believers and no longer on the fringes. Wears a rose with both 100% belief and pride.

So there we have it, of the 'original' twelve, only four still wear the rose with 100% belief, whilst the other eight no longer have the belief they had back in November. This is despite ALL the signs/predictions etc. Would the eight still have believed if the MW blog had been completely inactive? I think they would. it is the reality that has put them off, perhaps seeing sides of Morrissey that they didn't want to believe existed. The songs are enough for some, they don't want the man, and that will no doubt please him no end, I doubt he'll be happy until we've ALL lost the faith!

Of course, there are a number of new believers who have found MW, and have embraced the Twitterdilly Arms, and have posted a rose picture in their profiles, these include; @cathyplus5, @caterita2008 (although there is 'suspicion' surrounding this 'character', and come to think about it, although she wears a red rose, she has claimed she no longer believes that MW is Morrissey, so what's that all about?), @Its_Only_Me_K, @awillo9658 and @JJazmineMoz.

There are four others who sport a rose in their twitter profile picture, but they do not seem to have embraced the everyday tweeting of the others. These four are; @leonardnaf, @aboyinthebush22, @i2177 (another suspicious 'character' if you ask me) and @Fancys123 (who I still have my suspicions may be that charlatan Russell Brand, but the 'character' is well planned if it IS him.)

There are a number of other people who regularly post comment on the MW blog, but they too have not embraced themselves into the Twitterdilly Arms community.

If the media ever bother picking up on the whole MW thing, the community could grow and grow, but for now, despite all the EVIDENCE, The Mozziah's claims that it is all a parody are holding him in good stead, he has just SIX people who are prepared to say that they 100% believe that he is behind MorrisseysWorld......words fail me! Perhaps somebody can change the Wikipedia entry to say, "Six of Morrissey's deluded fans have come to believe it is written by Morrissey."

I would love to get feedback from readers of this blog, please leave comment, particularly stating your current thoughts regarding Morrissey being behind MW, or not, as the case may be, it makes for fascinating reading to look back on these things to see how people's opinions change. Please say why you believe or why you don't believe. I'd love to read about any theories on who else could possibly be behind MorrisseysWorld, and if it ISN'T Morrissey (and no Aurora, or whoever is responsible for the 'Deconstructing MW' blog, offering me up as the author isn't particularly helpful, although it is amazing that some people REALLY believed it could've been me), then who could it be? People are DESPERATE to try and prove it isn't Moz, but NOBODY can offer an alternative writer. Surely 'somebody' has a theory? Brand? Wossy? Boz?
